Reshape is proud to sponsor IDEA’s 109th Annual Conference and Trade Show taking place in Vancouver from June 11 to 14. The conference will draw over 900 delegates from around the world. We’re happy to welcome global colleagues and also showcase some of our local clients and partners as part of this conference.
Check out the latest issue of the District Energy Magazine, which recently celebrated its centennial anniversary. It includes a great overview of the growth in district energy around Metro Vancouver. Peter Russell from the City of Richmond reviews Richmond’s partnership with Corix to deliver a district energy system for the city centre. Gerard MacDonald and I also have an article on the promises and pitfalls from emerging green building policies to regulate GHG emissions (more on that in another post).
Gerard has also put together an in-depth session on Carbon-based Building Codes and Standards as part of the pre-conference workshop on Pathways & Success Strategies for Developing Sustainable Thermal Grids being organized by the University of British Columbia. Separate registration is available for the pre-conference workshops.
As part of the main program, Will Cleveland and our client Lillian Zaremba of Metro Vancouver will be presenting a case study of the effluent heat recovery project at the new North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant and unique thermal energy contract with Lonsdale Energy Corporation.
We look forward to catching up with clients, colleagues and new acquaintances. Get in touch if you have any questions or need assistance with making connections.
